2026 Installation

It used to be more than
just ruins, don’t forget that

This project was a desperate effort to run against time and the inevitable fading of a memory. It’s about a childhood friend that I haven’t seen in 16 years.

When I saw the ruins of her house years later, I felt guilty for having almost forgotten it. I tried to draw those ruins with every color of colored pencils I had. The first ones were in fine detail and towards the end it became more and more jagged. I was hoping to etch it onto my memories. The first of many ruins that I left behind. I also wrote her a letter, wishing against all odds that she’s doing well. Trying to find a way to tell her I still remember.
