Growing up, sex was a subject never addressed in our homes or schools. As children, we often stumbled upon hentai ads and cartoon pornography. They left us with a sense of unease we couldn’t explain. It’s like an imprint of confusion and fear and has shaped our understanding of sex in a way that feels incomplete and distorted.
In this project, I drew one of those scenes still engraved in my memory. I was eight, obsessed with fruit loops, and all I wanted was to find photos of Bloom from Winx for my weblog. I never told my mom, but that night, I had nightmares about it.
